The HOLY or Spiritual Aspect

Goodbye Candy Gold

Candy Gold is the code name of a young, married compulsive gambler. Through this fictional account of one woman's struggle with the prospect of a gambling addiction, many will come to recognize the symptoms of problem gaming and realize the truth.

Women are now at a greater risk for gambling addiction that is exacerbated by unemployment and deadbeat dads. The recent troubled economy provides a springboard for countless novices who will soon go from recreation to wreck at the casino!

Set on the outskirts of New Orleans at the fictional plantation rehab center, Lampe de Lac, the story is zestfully told by a real life compulsive gambler. It chronicles the actual treatment that one might experience in such a program.

The combination of a masters degree in ministry from Seattle University, and completion of the CORE program for addicted gamblers in Shreveport, gives Ms. Powell an astounding perspective. She has spent over thirty years in the classroom, but now turns her attention to working with individuals and small groups interested in spirituality and language.

Toussaint- represents the HOLY or spiritual aspect. "My masters is in MINISTRY from Seattle University."

"Also, I have been greatly influenced by New Life and Vernon Howard, Eckhart Tolle, Chunyi Lin, Sadhana, and Dr. Patrick Price, who is one of my facebook friends. He was my student and is now helping me spiritually...and health wise."

New Life is a nonprofit, federally tax-exempt educational, eleemosynary organization founded by Vernon Howard in the 1970's for the distribution and dissemination of a true teaching. It is dedicated to sharing true principles of self-understanding and success as a human being. It is for anyone who has run out of their own answers and has said to themselves, "There has to be something else."

Eckhart Tolle's profound yet simple teachings have already helped countless people throughout the world find inner peace and greater fulfillment in their lives. At the core of the teachings lies the transformation of consciousness, a spiritual awakening that he sees as the next step in human evolution.
